Our kennel „of Nutscheid“ was granted international kennel protection by the VDH in 1954.
The kennel name „von Nutscheid“ derives from the ridge „Nutscheid“ east of Bonn covering an area of about 30 km eastwards between Hennef and Waldbröl. In the south the „Nutscheid“ is borded by the river Sieg, in the north by the Waldbröl stream, called Bröl.
The Nutscheid is one of the biggest Forest districts in our region „Bergisches Land“.
Benroth is situated at the nothern slope of the Nutscheid about 3 km to walk to the highest points: Hohes Wäldchen (380 m) and Galgenberg (360m).
